Massive congratulations to Steven, who has received his Chief Scout’s Gold Award, the highest achievement for a Scout. He was presented with his award at the end of a busy and enjoyable summer camp.

Our Scouts have been enjoying their first days at Broadstone Warren, plenty of sunshine and showers and as always plenty of food!

  • Congratulations

    Congratulations

We would like to say a huge well done to our five Cubs who were awarded their Chief Scouts Silver Award this term. This is the highest award available to Cubs, and requires a Cub to earn all seven Challenge Awards and at least six activity badges during their 2 1/2 years in Cubs.

They were rewarded for their efforts at a Clip n Climb session at the end of term, hosted by Tonbridge District Scouts. We look forward to welcoming them all back as Scouts next term!

  • Great British Summertime

    Great British Summertime

It was a wet end to the summer term, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time! Beavers had a trip to Dino Golf, and Scouts played in Canoes, kayaks and SUPs.

We wish everyone a lovely summer holiday and look forward to seeing you all in September.

  • Games evening

    Games evening

Scouts spent this week’s meeting at the Sportsground playing games and getting more than a little bit soggy! With the setting sun and musical accompaniment from the Castle it was a lovely evening.

  • Hikes away

    Hikes away

Our Cubs demonstrated their navigation skills on a beautiful evening hike from Shipbourne to Ightham Mote and back.

  • Litterpicking at Longmead

    Litterpicking at Longmead

Ours Beavers showed their community spirit on Tuesday as they cleared up litter around Longmead park (followed by a well deserved play at the playground!)

  • Tudor Trail

    Tudor Trail

Scouts had a lovely evening ride along the Tudor Trail to Penshurst and back last night, completing the route in record time!

  • What’s going on here then?

    What’s going on here then?

The Tuesday Beavers had a visit from a Metropolitan Police Officer this week, but despite the handcuffs we’re assured he wasn’t on official business! The children loved trying on his equipment – we may have inspired some future police officers.
