Beavers is where Scouting begins for children aged 6 to 8. Our Colonies help young people join in, get outdoors and find out what they're capable of.

The top award
Chief Scout's Bronze Award
The highest award a Beaver can achieve. To earn it, they complete:

Tip: Comfy trousers (leggings or joggers) and trainers they can run around in.
Where to buy
The Scout & Guide Shop at Weir View HQ, behind River Lawn, Tonbridge. It's cheaper than buying online and the profits stay in local Scouting.

Recent adventures
Hungry hippos and Wet Wet Wet
End-of-summer fun included a human game of Hungry Hippos for the Beavers, and paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking for the Scouts and some Cubs.
Centenary Camp
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders camped together for a weekend to mark 100 years of 2nd Tonbridge, with campfire songs, a bake-off, archery and water bottle rockets.
